As founder and principal of The Savvy Scholar, I have a background in both higher education and financial services which makes me uniquely qualified to work with families going through the college transition process.
I have an MBA and hold a CPA license in the state of New York. For over thirteen years, I worked full-time as an accounting professor, educating a diverse population of students. During that time, I thoroughly enjoyed not only my time in the classroom, but my time listening to the hopes and dreams of students as their advisor.
My professional credentials include IMAGE Coach Certification, as well as taking several Guided Path independent educational consultant courses. I have also studied with the Professional Christian Coaching Institute (PCCI) and have completed several life coaching courses.
I am married and have two sons, two cats and one crazy dog. My sons are graduate students studying at Harvard and Penn State respectively, so I have traveled down the road of being a college parent for quite some time now!
I feel blessed to be helping families navigate the road to higher education. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have!
